Next, we will visit Santo Tomas Jalieza, where you will witness local craftsmanship and learn about the ancestral tradition of rug weaving.
We will continue our journey along the Mezcal, where you will discover the secrets of this famous drink. You will visit authentic distilleries and taste different varieties of mezcal.
Our adventure will continue at Rodolfo M’s house, where you can taste exquisite food with the best seasoning of Oaxaca.

Mezcal Minero

This mezcal is an alcoholic beverage made with espadín agave, a plant that grows in this region. The agave is cut and cooked in stone ovens, which give it a smoky flavor. Then, it is ground with a stone mill pulled by a horse and fermented in wooden vats.

Handicrafts

You will find a wide variety of handicrafts that reflect the creativity and identity of their towns. You will see everything from alebrijes and textiles to black clay and filigree, which are works of art made by hand with natural materials and ancestral techniques.
